Connecting with Kids Through LEGO
LEGO is one of the most popular play activities for kids (and adults) of all ages.
As an Occupational Therapist trained in LEGO therapy, Elen Nathan will take you through fun ways to use everyday LEGO you already have to support connection and build relationships in your bubble.
During this webinar you will learn:
- The benefits of LEGO, why is it so popular?
- How to use LEGO to build relationships and connection.
- Fun and easy LEGO play challenges to help keep kids busy, happy and learning for hours.
- How to choose great LEGO kits for building social play skills in children.
- How to use LEGO to help your child learn to be part of a team.

About the Presenter:
Elen Nathan
Elen Nathan is a NZ registered Occupational Therapist in Napier and is currently studying post-grad in Ayres Sensory Integration. With 20 years experience in NZ and abroad working with children and adults who have diverse needs, she has specialised in Autism Spectrum Disorder which has led her to work in peak body organisations including Autism New Zealand, The National Autistic Society (UK) and Autism Victoria (AUS).
Elen is passionate about working with neuro-diverse children to build their self-esteem and self- worth through understanding themselves better, the intrinsic strengths they have, and the gifts they have to offer the world.
As the Mum of 2 busy young boys, they have taught her that often children come with their own plan and need an understanding team in their corner coaching them through life's challenges.
LEGO-Based therapy workshop for those on the Autism Spectrum
Elen is also holding face-face workshops on Lego Therapy - an evidence based social skills program developed for people on the Autism Spectrum by Daniel Le-Goff and Simon Baron- Cohen.

Please note there are two pricing options for this event:
Professionals using the webinar for Professional Development: $60.00 + GST or
Parents: $20.00 + GST

We work hard to ensure that all workshops are cost effective by automating our systems. If you require an invoice (rather than paying by debit or credit card) there will be a $20.00 + GST surcharge for this, and you will need to supply:
The full name and postal address required to appear on the invoice.
The contact name and email of the person(s) responsible for authorising this expense and approving payment.
Any purchase order references required on vendor invoices.

What happens if you have to cancel?
Refunds are not available unless GROW cancels the workshop ahead of time. Training is cancellable by GROW with 3 days’ notice if a minimum number of attendees is not met.
Please note: GROW Ltd reserves the right to make any amendments that we may deem to be in the best interest of the forum – it is however very unlikely and we will notify you as soon as possible should this occur.
