TIP:You should get your images to an appropriate size before adding them to your library. This saves space and helps them load faster. 800px x 600px is a good size. You can fine tune the size (make them smaller only) once they are on your page.
The main layerslider (banner) image is a different format, contact Grow for specific instructions on how to change this.
Selecting and uploading your image
Once you have logged in to the page you want to amend (steps one & two of pervious post), scroll down the page and click on the photo you want to change. This will open the image editor box.
Click “Insert Image” to open your Media Library, where all your photos are kept.
Click the “Upload files” tab, then click “Select Files”. Browse your computer for the photo you want to add, click to select it.
This photo will be added to your Media Library, where all your photos, images and videos are kept. It’s a good habit to add “Alt Text” (alternative text, eg “CEO Jane Smith”) for each photo, this is the text that will show if viewers have their images turned off and will help google understand your page. Enter Alt text in the details box on the right of this page.
You can also select the size in the display setting here – start with medium and amend if necessary.
Click insert and your image will replace the existing image.
If the size is not right, click on the image to open it, and click on it again to take you back to the Media Library, where your can amend the display settings on the right. Click insert again.
Click Save in this box. Scroll back up to the top of the page and click “Update” on the right column to update your page and make this live. To check your website, click “View Post” on the black bar at the top of the page.
