Persuasive Therapeutic Communication for Health Professionals and Clinicians - Improving Communication and Effectiveness
90 minute Online Workshop, Tuesday 2 February 2021, 6pm - 7.30pm
“What people say, what people do, and what they say they do - are entirely different things.”
“Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else” - Margaret Mead
Research shows that health providers and clinicians can dramatically improve treatment continuity, medical adherence, and outcomes for patients by improving how well they facilitate the mental, emotional and interpersonal aspects of the change process.
This training is especially relevant to clinicians involved in helping patients successfully facilitate important lifestyle and behavioral changes as a goal of treatment. The webinar’s focus on real clinical work dynamics, and its unique, hands on – what to do – training emphasis goes to the heart of addressing a topic that concerns every clinical staff member.
Our goal is to enhance clinicians’ face-to-face abilities to effectively introduce and reinforce relevant therapeutic, wellness, and lifestyle behaviors to a broad range of clients. This is especially relevant to clinicians involved in helping patients successfully facilitate important lifestyle and behavioral changes as a goal of treatment
These service users require special attention, special skills, and special strategies. For patients to get maximum benefit they often need support in changing behaviour. If we are to interact with them effectively and keep our workplace a safe and pleasant place for us to be.
