Working effectively with Neurodiversity and Trauma - Packages of Care for Teams

Wednesday 23 November, 9am - 12.30pm
3.5 hour Online Workshop

This workshop is designed to upskill and support frontline staff who are working with in the field of neurodiversity and trauma. It is underpinned by the knowledge that if we want to be successful, whatever our role, we need to understand our client's presentation, know what progress and realistic expectations are, and be willing to approach our work in a responsive and informed manner.

It will target those working in a team setting, and is a practical, skills-based event, underpinned by theory. It will endeavor to provide professional development opportunities, with knowledge interwoven with practical strategies for attendees to implement into their workplace.

We will focus on staff impact and resilience, and developing skills to develop, implement, and re-evaluate the vision and goals they have set. Ideally, attendees will walk away with a 'package of care' to take back to their team. This event recognizes the need to be creative, innovative and supportive in our mahi in order to provide an environment and interactions that are supportive and responsive of the clients and staff needs. For this, we need to be willing to look at what our strengths are and where there is room for growth.
