It will cover the tools and skills you need to effectively communicate and facilitate during online meetings and/or participating in workshops using ZOOM. It will cover the basic settings, as well as a range of tips if you are the host of meeting.
Content includes:
- Basic settings to join a meeting
- What do to when they can't see you/video not working
- How to use background filters
- Mute/unmute with ease
- Using the chat function
- How to send reactions during the meeting/workshop
- 5 tips on how to make the most of ZOOM
When you are the host:
- What you can do
- How to set up breakout rooms
- How to set up polls, start them and share results
- Share screen for PPT, and for video
- Who can record the session

Who Should Attend
Whether you like it or not, ZOOM has entered our world. Many meetings are organised via ZOOM and thanks to ZOOM, GROW has been able to continue to offer a wide range of workshops.
If you are unsure how to use ZOOM as a participant/attendee or host, then this workshop is for you. It will cover the basic tools, what you can do as a participant and what you can do as a host (they can do the most!).
Date:
This workshop can be delivered at a mutual agreed time. A private workshop will take 1.5 hours, a private session (1-on-1) will take about 1 hour.
Presenter
Nathalie van Dort
Nathalie van Dort has a background in Communication, and has delivered numerous workshops to start-up businesses through the NZTE funding scheme. Nathalie is part of the GROW event Managers team, and manages a wide range of workshops. She is also one of our ZOOM-support people. Whilst our facilitators deliver the workshop, Nathalie manages all the technical 'stuff' in the background to ensure a seamless workshop delivery.
Since April 2020, Nathalie has been enjoying the constant changing features of ZOOM, and following many requests from workshop participants, decided to deliver this ZOOM with Confidence workshop.

90 minutes Workshop
Standard Price: $75.00 incl GST, per person.

Registration process
Payment online is by debit or credit card (VISA, Mastercard or American Express) only and there are 3 easy steps to complete the online booking process.
Our registration platform is hosted by Lil Regie, our NZ based booking agent. Upon completing your registration by hitting the blue 'Confirm Booking' button, you will receive an automated email confirming the booking and amount paid by credit card. A GST Tax Invoice showing your payment in full will also be emailed to you.
We work hard to ensure that all workshops are cost effective by automating our systems. If you require an invoice (rather than paying by credit card) there will be a $25 surcharge for this, and you will need to supply:
- The full name and postal address required to appear on the invoice.
- The contact name and email of the person(s) responsible for authorising this expense and approving payment.
- Any purchase order references required on vendor invoices.

What happens if you have to cancel?
We know that sometimes your plans can change for many different reasons. Should you be unable to attend, a substitute delegate is welcome to attend at no extra cost. If a substitute delegate is not available and you need to cancel your registration, please be aware of the following:
Up to 7 days prior to the event you will be provided a refund of your registration cost, less a $20.00 inc GST per attendee service charge.
If you cancel within 7 days of the event, you are not eligible to receive a refund. Please note: should your registration not be paid by the time of the event, you are still liable to make the payment. Unpaid accounts may be passed over to our debt collection agency and additional costs may be incurred.
All cancellations must be received in writing (email).
Training is cancellable by GROW with 3 days’ notice if a minimum number of attendees is not met and full refunds will be provided.
Please note: GROW Ltd reserves the right to make any amendments that we may deem to be in the best interest of the forum – it is however very unlikely and we will notify you as soon as possible should this occur.
